157449 Slope Sensor 26169 Cross Slope Sensor PWM CAN for Road Milling Machines

Core Function:
Measures the lateral tilt angle of the machine frame or milling drum in real time.
Sends signals to the controller, which automatically adjusts the height of the lifting cylinders on both sides to maintain the preset slope (e.g., 2%).


Working Principle (based on slope ratio):
Inside the sensor is a gravity pendulum or a liquid level balancing system. When the machine tilts, it outputs a changing
electrical signal (e.g., ±5V for ±10°). The controller compares the actual value with the set value and drives the hydraulic valve to adjust the machine's legs.

Electronic pendulum type (mainstream): high accuracy (±0.1%), fast response, suitable for automatic leveling systems.
Liquid level balancing type: uses the principle of communicating vessels, more vibration-resistant but slightly less accurate.


Typical Applications:
Milling superelevation sections of roads (maintaining a unidirectional cross-slope).
Milling curves (working with a longitudinal slope sensor to achieve superelevation transitions).
Airport runways and other projects with strict cross-slope requirements.


Usage Precautions:
Calibrate the zero point with a digital level before installation.
Avoid hard impacts on the sensor box during operation.
Check seals in rainy or snowy conditions to prevent water ingress and short circuits.
